Cessna 172 Skyhawk
Since its first certifcation in ___, the Cessna 172 Skyhawk has earned the title of the world's most popular training aircraft. More pilots have flown a Skyhawk than any other airplane in existence. The Skyhawk is produced by Cessna Aircraft Corporation and is the big brother of the Cessna 152. It is a four-seat aircraft with a single engine, and can come in many different modified versions.
The maximum range of the current Skyhawk is approximately 640 nautical miles with a maximum cruise speed of 124 knots true airspeed. The airplane also comes equipped with the Garmin G1000 avionics system combined with the GFC-700 automated flight control system.
Pilot Mike earned his instrument rating in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, equipped with analog instruments, in 2008 and has been flying the Skyhawk for nearly ten years.
